The University of Kansas is interested in fostering a diverse and inclusive procurement environment by actively seeking to promote and engage with small and diverse suppliers. We firmly believe that a diverse supplier base brings forth innovation, fosters economic growth and enriches the communities we serve.



In this regard, we would like to extend an invitation to your organization to register as a small or diverse supplier in our eBid system Ionwave. This initiative allows us to identify and engage with suppliers who may offer unique products, services, and perspectives that align with our core values and strategic goals.



Registering in our eBid system allows your organization to participate in our procurement processes, where you can submit bids and proposals for various projects and contracts. Our eBid system streamlines the procurement process, ensuring fairness, transparency, and efficiency in supplier selection.



To become a registered small and diverse supplier, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit our eBid website at KU Bids Website URL.
  2.  Access the Supplier Registration section of our website.
  3. Complete the registration form by providing the requested information about your organization, including certification details, business size, diversity status, and relevant capabilities.
  4. Submit the completed registration form through the online portal

Once your registration is received, it will be reviewed to confirm your status as a small and diverse supplier. If approved, your organization will be included in our database of qualified suppliers, increasing your visibility to our procurement team and enhancing your chances of being considered for future opportunities.

We are also pleased to announce that we partnered with SupplierGateway, an esteemed organization that supports and promotes small and diverse businesses. If you are interested in establishing yourself as a small or diverse business, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity.

SupplierGateway provides a certification process that offers numerous benefits for small and diverse businesses, including enhanced visibility, networking opportunities, and access to potential customers and partners. This certification can help your business thrive and stand out in today's competitive marketplace.



To apply for certification, please visit the SupplierGateway website at SupplierGateway and select supplier registration near the bottom of the screen to get started. You will find detailed information about the Enhanced Digital Certification (EDC) process, eligibility criteria, and the necessary application forms there. Take your time to review the requirements and ensure that your business meets the necessary qualifications. EDC Application Fee is $25 USD (1-year certification) or $70 USD (3-year certification) - the prices are the same for renewal.
