KU has Partnered with Amazon Business

KU is launching a new purchasing program. Starting August 21, 2023, Amazon Business will be available as a secondary catalog to the mandatory and preferred catalogs already in place.

Shopping on Amazon Business through Oracle Financials in the Cloud (FITC) is as user-friendly as shopping on Amazon.com and includes features tailored for our university. With Amazon Business, you will be able to simplify your purchasing process and take advantage of Amazon’s wide product selection and fast shipping.

Benefits include:

  • Free same-day, one-day and two-day shipping on Prime-eligible items (learn more)
  • Get quantity discounts on top-brands and top-selling products.
  • Create custom shopping lists on frequently purchased items.
  • Ability to support small, diverse, local, and sustainable businesses with certifications.
  • Get real-time data to make smarter budgeting and purchasing decisions.
  • Access support through a specialized Amazon Business Customer Service team.
  • P-Card reconciliations are no longer required on Amazon Business purchases.
  • Centralized Prime membership, eliminating the need for individual units to pay for Prime.

Starting August 21, 2023, all KU Amazon purchases should be made through the new central Amazon Business catalog via Oracle Financials in the Cloud.

To learn more, join a walk-through of our account and features led by KU’s Amazon Business representative. The one-hour program will leave time for Q&A.

How to Activate Your Amazon Business Account

To use the Amazon Business punchout, you must be set up as a shopper in FITC. Current FITC shoppers will have automatic access to Amazon Business beginning Aug. 21.

If you do not have shopper access to FITC, complete and submit the FITC access form and attend FITC shopper training. Access to the KU Amazon Business account will be available after the FITC access form is processed and you have completed the training.
