eBids
The University of Kansas is constantly looking for ways to maximize the efficiencies of operations. One successful method of reducing costs is transitioning traditional paper-intensive business processes to electronic processes facilitated via the Internet. Beginning July 20, 2009, the University of Kansas Purchasing Services office began issuing and receiving quotes, proposals and bids online.
All vendors interested in receiving electronic bid opportunities from KU Purchasing Services need to register for bids, proposals, and quotes on the Purchasing Services website by clicking on the supplier registration link below. This website will consistently display current available bid opportunities. Additionally, registered vendors will begin receiving notifications of available bid opportunities by email according to the commodity codes selected when registering. This system will greatly reduce the cost of supplies and distribution while increasing speed and accuracy of the public bid process. Failure to register may result in missed bidding opportunities. Vendors pay no fees for utilizing the online bidding system.
Once you submit your application, it must be approved by the Purchasing Services office. Once approved, you will receive electronic e-mail notification and you will then be able to log into the system.
Please direct all questions to the either the KU Purchasing Services’ buyer you normally work with or to the Purchasing Office by email at purchasing@ku.edu or by telephone at 785-864-5800.
